My name is Caleb Tews. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved the news.

My pop used to be a newspaper editor. He always had this smell – ink, paper and tobacco. That smell is all entwined with my fascination with the written word, and with the place of news reporting in the modern world.

See, my pop always used to say that it was the newsmen who really changed the world. Without them, he reckoned, no one could have known what was really going on.

But these days, the newspaper men have been a bit overrun, what with 24-hour television reporting, internet coverage and microblogging.

So here at Tewspaper, I’m going to be telling the news, breaking it down, working out what it all means. If you’d like to be a part of it, I’d love to have you.
